What we’ve done

We are library lovers, readers, and community advocates who believe that a strong library makes a stronger Destin. 

Through fundraising, volunteer support, and advocacy, we help fund programs, purchase materials, and enhance library services for all ages.

The Guild has funded over $200,000.00 since 1996. Some Projects and Programs have included:

Every dollar you contribute helps us purchase new books, sponsor community programs, and enhance the library experience for all. Your support ensures that the Destin Library remains a welcoming place for education, creativity, and connection.

Ways to Give

Membership: Join the Friends! Memberships start at just $20 per year and include early access to book sales, member updates, and invitations to events. In order to be a member, a yearly $20 donation is required.

Sponsorships: Local businesses and individuals can sponsor events, book sales, or children’s programs.

In-Kind Contributions: We gladly accept gently used books and volunteer help for sorting, pricing, and events.

Support our mission by contributing a donation. All money is going back into the Library. All officers are volunteers and no one collects a paycheck.

Volunteers are the heart of our Guild.

Our Story

The Guild was formed by local citizens who wanted to ensure that Destin’s library continues to grow as a center for knowledge and community life.

Over the years, the Friends have sponsored reading programs, hosted author events, and provided funding for new library materials and technology upgrades.

Today, our mission remains simple: to enrich the Destin Library experience for everyone.
